This initiative is a collaborative effort aimed at empowering young people from rural areas to explore, document, and share their local cultural heritage through digital storytelling. The project aligns with the European Pillar of Social Rights, the European Skills Agenda, the Digital Education Action Plan, and the EU Youth Strategy.
Erasmus+ project DIGITAL STORY seeks to:
- Empower youth from rural areas to engage with and preserve their cultural heritage through digital means.
- Foster personal and professional growth among participants, enhancing their employability and social inclusion.
- Strengthen cultural diversity and social cohesion in local communities.
The project involves four partners from Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, and Ireland, working together to implement key activities:
- Development of the DIGITAL STORY Guide
- A resource to help youth workers support young people in building employability skills using digital storytelling.
- International Training Course in Ireland
- A program designed to train at least 12 youth workers in effectively guiding youth through the storytelling process.
- Cascaded Workshops for Rural Youth
- Workshops to reach at least 120 young people from rural areas, enabling them to create and share digital stories.
- International Conference in Lithuania
- A platform to showcase project outcomes and foster dialogue among at least 30 external participants.
By equipping young people with the tools and skills to tell their unique stories, DIGITAL STORY will inspire cultural appreciation, foster community pride, and open doors to new professional opportunities. Stay tuned for updates as the project unfolds!
Let’s celebrate and preserve our shared cultural heritage together!
