It was a joy to work with this fantastic group of young people from Bounce Back Youth Service in Ballyjamesduff as part of the Erasmus+ Digital Story project.
Across the workshops, participants developed their own ideas into original digital stories, drawing on culture, place, and the perspectives that matter to them. From shaping initial concepts through to filming and editing, the level of creativity, originality, and follow-through in the group has been genuinely impressive.
A sincere thank you to Bounce Back Youth Service for the opportunity to collaborate, and to youth leader Kaci for the support and care that made the sessions possible.
As part of this project, a Digital Story Guide for Youth Workers has also been developed — offering practical tools and approaches for using storytelling in youth work settings. You can explore it here: https://digitalstory.eduprojects.eu/guide-for-youth-workers/
As the project comes to a close this week, with the final meeting and conference taking place in Vilnius, Lithuania, it’s a valuable moment to recognise the work created here and how it connects to a wider European collaboration focused on community, skills, and youth voice.
Teach Solais is proud to have delivered this work locally, and very fortunate to work with this strong group of young people. We’ll share more of the group’s work over the coming days, along with an update from the final conference in Vilnius.
